Business Partnerships Continued....
As a business neighbor of Kendrick Lakes Elementary, we would like to invite you to become a business member of the Kendrick Lakes PTA. This is a special class of membership that promotes a different kind of involvement than traditional PTA memberships. The goal of this program is to create better schools and therefore a better education for the community. Many school districts with dwindling budgets are using all the resources at their disposal just to try to stay even, and they need help. We feel that PTA and businesses can provide substantial help by jointly taking their concerns to school boards, legislators and other policy makers who can influence education reform. Together we must insist that schools provide well-educated students who are ready for the work force. This should be of vital concern to employers everywhere; inadequately trained employees are a man-power and financial drain on any company. We would like for you to join with us and over 33,000 PTA members in Colorado to improve the quality of education. Your business membership supports us in two ways. First, by helping strengthen our child advocacy efforts to reform education values and standards. Closer to home, your membership dues will help us promote the welfare of our children through special programs and projects not available with our school’s limited budget. You will have several different types of opportunities to access our community in order to promote your business. You are invited to advertise via our membership email distribution and/or you may set up a table and promote your business directly to the community during PTA events (see our calendar of events). If you wish to take part in the eblast program then you must email your advertisement to the membership coordinator and PTA President for approval and distribution (no more than 3 eblasts per semester). You will also be featured in our newsletter (sent out every other month/4 times per school year) with a business card size ad. Together we can show how business and education partnerships can forge solutions. Your “Business for PTA” membership* is tax deductible and costs $75 for one school year (or $50 per semester). The membership will be in the name of one individual that you designate as your representative. You will receive a framed certificate that you can display in your place of business. We appreciate your alliance with our Kendrick Lakes Elementary PTA and look forward to establishing a lasting relationship with your business. Here is the registration form. *Please note that in-kind donations of goods or services valued in excess of $150 will also constitute meeting the criteria of a business member with all the above mentioned benefits. Please contact [email protected] for more information or an enrollment form. |
