Interested in joining the PTA? Please take a moment to learn more about the PTA and how you can be a part of it! We'd love to have you as a member and don't worry, your level of commitment is up to you. Consider joining today to show your support! These enrollments can be from anyone who wants a voice on the PTA, including any family member (parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.), students, teachers, or community members. Memberships are $15 for 1 person or $25 for 2 people.
You can sign up online at https://my.cheddarup.com/c/2024-2025-pta-membership-2052/items?cart, click on the QR code, or you can fill out a Membership form and send cash or check (made out to KLES PTA) with your student to school. What the PTA does:● Family Events (Carnival, Sunday Funday, Dolphin Dance, Breakfasts)
● Staff Appreciation Events ● Community Events ● After School Activities ● Volunteer Recognition ● Field Day ● Fun Run ● Logo Wear ● Purchasing technology and supplies for the classroom ● Financially supporting school events, such as graduations ● Supporting programs, such as Watch Dogs ● Coordinating volunteers to help support school events and programs ● Supporting PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) ● Advocating for students and educations at every level ● Providing educational opportunities for families Why Join?Volunteer Opportunities
Have you been wanting to get more involved with your student’s school? No matter how much time you are able to commit to, PTA has several volunteer opportunities that will fit your schedule. Please reach out to the PTA if you want more information or are able to volunteer at any capacity. The following volunteer opportunities are currently available: After School Activities: Help check in students and hand out snacks @2:35 Please email [email protected] to volunteer Community Nights: Contact local restaurants and set up community nights to help raise funds for the school Dolphin Dance: Organize and plan this event along with a team of volunteers. This event will take place around Valentine’s Day. Grant/Funding Requests: Help the PTA with grant writing and funding requests to help raise funds for the school. Volunteer Coordinator: Reach out to potential volunteers for PTA events and activities. It's up to you to make what you want of your membership and how much you participate. Be a voice for one thing you're passionate about or get involved in all the aspects of the PTA. When you join the PTA you are automatically a member of the State and Nation PTA. You and more than 6.5 million others are the National PTA! As a member of the PTA opportunities like the following:

● January 16th @ 6pm (followed by Accountability, No Accountability meetings in Dec. or March) The PTA generally meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month starting at 6pm. Currently, we are holding meetings in-person (KLES Library) and via Zoom.

Colorado PTA Legislative Committee Meetings Please join us for the Colorado PTA Legislative Committee meetings. We will be reviewing, suggesting changes, and voting on Colorado PTA’s Legislative Platform from the sub-committee. We will also be discussing current bills and whether to support, monitor, or oppose them.
Hunger Free Colorado
Hunger Free Colorado, a statewide nonprofit organization, connects people to food resources to meet existing needs and drives policy, systems and social change to end hunger.
