These enrollments can be from anyone who wants a voice on the PTA, including any family member (parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.), students, teachers, or community members. Memberships are $15 for 1 person or $25 for 2 people.  

You can sign up online at https://klespta-membership-drive-22-23.cheddarup.com, click on the QR code, or you can fill out a Membership form and send cash or check (made out to KLES PTA) with your student to school.

Volunteer Opportunities
 
Have you been wanting to get more involved with your student’s school? No matter how much time you are able to commit to, PTA has several volunteer opportunities that will fit your schedule. Please reach out to the PTA if you want more information or are able to volunteer at any capacity. The following volunteer opportunities are currently available:

After School Activities: Help check in students and hand out snacks from 2:35-3:15 any Wednesday or Thursday, please sign up using the Sign Up Genius below.

Community Nights: Contact local restaurants and set up community nights to help raise funds for the school

Dolphin Dance: Organize and plan this event along with a team of volunteers. This event will take place around Valentine’s Day.

Sunday Funday: Organize and plan this event along with a team of volunteers. This event will be off school grounds and take place April/May.

Grant/Funding Requests: Help the PTA with grant writing and funding requests to help raise funds for the school.

Reflections Judges: Need two or three volunteers to be judges for the Reflections Art program. This event takes place in November.

Volunteer Coordinator: Reach out to potential volunteers for PTA events and activities.

It's up to you to make what you want of your membership and how much you participate.  Be a voice for one thing you're passionate about or get involved in all the aspects of the PTA.  When you join the PTA you are automatically a member of the State and Nation PTA.  You and more than 6.5 million others are the National PTA! 

As a member of the PTA opportunities like the following:
  • To know that you can make a difference for your child and all children just by joining out PTA and showing your support;
  • To participate in family-oriented activities;
  • To support school activities, whether at school, at home or at your workplace that strengthen the family-school-community partnership;
  • To learn about important issues affecting children in our community;
  • To obtain resources and other materials on a wide variety of concerns to today's parents and families;
  • To be a voice for children by communicating with local and state decision makers; 
  • To grow personally through leadership development training; 
  • Get discounts on school logowear; and 
  • Have the first opportunity to sign-up for all After school and special events before non-members. 

Our mission is to encourage the involvement of the whole family at school, foster community involvement with school and cooperation between families and educators, and help our families and educators develop joyful, confident, well-round children. Read more on our goals and bylaws here.

The PTA generally meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month starting at 6pm. Currently, we are holding meetings in-person (KLES Library) and via Zoom.

Please check out the links below for more information on what initiatives the Jeffco PTA, Colorado PTA, or National PTA are supporting this year. 

Colorado PTA Legislative Committee Meetings 
  • Please join us for the Colorado PTA Legislative Committee Meetings this year. These meetings are highly recommended in order for your unit to stay up-to-date and get involved regarding national legislation advocacy efforts, Colorado legislation and ballot issues, and a way to hear from guest speakers about ballot initiatives and advocacy opportunities. 
  • Our next meeting is coming up this Monday, October 10th, at 6:30 p.m. (via Zoom). The following are the remaining dates for this year:
    • December 12th
    • January 9th and 23rd
    • February 13th and 27th
    • March 13th and 27th
    • April 10th and 24th
    • May 8th (only one scheduled for May)
